The Ocean

The Ocean
(AABB)

It’s deep and blue
And true
It’s passionate
Like an amulet.

It’s strong and skilled
And willed
It's calm and angry
Simultaneously.

It seems like an endless blur
And sounds like a purr
It smells like salt
But it’s floor is at a fault.

It’s sunrise and sunset are beautiful
It’s color is bountiful
The water is cool to the touch
But it’s so much.

It loves everything
But it’s a sea king
It cares for you and me
And it’s a thriving tree.

So care for it
Because it’s all we got.

Pearl Harbor

Pearl  Harbor

I was walking down the street,
But there was pain in my feet.
I saw the beach,
Smelled like a fresh peach.

I heard the planes,
As they shook the sugar canes.
They started shooting,
As they were parachuting.

As loud as an alarm,
They shot someone in the arm.
I started running home,
My eyes started to foam.

By now I was crying,
But I was really trying.
With the Japs over head,
And part of the army dead.

When the japs retreated,
America wasn’t defeated.
It started getting harder,
Right after pearl harbor.

A Day at the Beach

Lemonade and sunshine
Tan lines and good times.
Salty hair and I don’t care
Sunscreen and Messy hair.

White beaches and high dunes
The sun is in the middle of the sky at noon.
My sun kissed skin and bright sunglasses
The wind that is blowing is slower than molasses
We jumped in the ocean
My mom puts on her sun tan lotion.
As I put on my goggles
My mom is throwing away all of our bottles.

The waves are crashing against my chair
The wind is blowing my hair.
The sun is no longer high in the sky
So now I need to say good bye.
To the beach and the wonderful sun in the sky.
